Happy April!
In March, NTD, a sister company of The Epoch Times, released its first documentary of the year titled Hollywood Takeover: China's Control in the Film Industry. Before our screening in California, we faced censorship, including having our promotional channel removed from social media. Our content is often restricted because of the important information our journalists uncover. I invite you to watch the film for yourself (available in the link below for paid subscribers). If you're on a trial or monthly plan with us, please consider upgrading to support our work or donating to help our journalism. Only informed citizens like you can make the conscious choice to keep real news alive. I'm of the opinion that if we don't support our journalists, we can't complain when crucial information fails to be brought to light. I can attest that the stories we cover are consequential, and we make it our mission to provide information of a scope and quality that is of the utmost necessity for the public to be aware of. Your contributions directly support important and impactful journalism. |

Google Censors Hollywood Takeover Documentary
|
On March 6, 2024, the red carpet premiere of NTD's documentary "Hollywood Takeover: China's Control in the Film Industry," a sister company of The Epoch Times, unveiled shocking revelations at the Harmony Gold theater in Los Angeles. |
This film, screening exclusively on EpochTV, exposes the U.S. film industry's collaboration with the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) to access the world's second-largest economy, enabling the CCP to shape its regime's perception through movies, as revealed by industry insiders. Hollywood is aiding a global adversary's agenda; however, thanks to the efforts of concerned Americans like Chris Fenton, a former Hollywood executive, and Tiffany Meier, an investigative news reporter, this lucrative partnership is being exposed. |
On March 4, YouTube removed the trailer of the documentary and suspended the Hollywood Takeover YouTube account. This action was deemed sensitive enough that YouTube took the unusual step of removing the trailer for review. When Newsweek asked the Google-owned platform why, it responded: "Upon review, we determined the video is not violative of our Community Guidelines." Subsequently, the video was reinstated. |

From Wall Street to Washington
|
As a senior White House correspondent for The Epoch Times, I'm fortunate to report on the latest developments and news emerging from 1600 Pennsylvania Ave., a place of immense global significance. I write about President Joe Biden and his administration's wide range of policies, from domestic and economic policies to national security measures and foreign policy issues. Along with my colleagues in Washington, I cover crucial developments in Congress that affect the president. Whether it's the recent House speakership race or the tumultuous government shutdowns, I've been on the ground, providing coverage from the Hill. I regularly attend speeches, events, and briefings at the White House, asking questions in the briefing room that matter most to Americans.. I engage with administration officials, members of Congress from both sides of the aisle, and the president's closest allies as well as his critics. But my work extends far beyond the Beltway; I've traveled with the president across the country and the world to deliver firsthand, uncensored news articles to readers. In 2023, I covered major international summits such as the NATO summit in Vilnius, Lithuania; the G20 summit in New Delhi, India; and the G7 summit in Hiroshima, Japan. I also traveled to Michigan, Arizona, New Mexico, Pennsylvania, Utah, California, and many other states, where I had the privilege of interviewing hardworking Americans and reporting on their reactions to the Biden administration's policies, including its economic plan dubbed "Bidenomics." |
My journey at The Epoch Times began more than a decade ago, when I joined the publication in 2010. With a background in the financial sector as an investment banker at JPMorgan and a master's degree in business administration from Georgetown University, I began covering business and economics stories. I've written profiles and feature stories of successful American business owners, innovators, and billionaires. I've written about how they achieved the American dream. My adventure in Washington began with the presidency of Donald Trump. I left the hustle and bustle of New York City to report on President Trump's tax reform in the nation's capital. It was my first assignment, which threw me into the whirlwind of Washington's political environment. During the rapid passage of the tax reform bill, within a mere 11 months, I had the privilege of meeting with cabinet members, administration officials, lawmakers, small business owners, tax experts, and more. I've penned numerous stories exploring the bill's impact on American families, businesses, and our nation's economy. I also witnessed many historical events during President Trump's presidency, including his summit with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un in Vietnam. Throughout my career as a senior White House correspondent, I have been committed to reporting the news without bias or opinion and to providing stories that are most important to readers. The Epoch Times' commitment to quality journalism aligns with my own values, and I'm eager to contribute to the company's continued growth and success. |

'I'm an Atheist, but This Gave Me Chills': Homeschooled Siblings' Song Covers Touch Millions |

|
At The Epoch Times, we handpick stories for our Inspired section as we strongly believe in sharing the best real-life stories with you. Thus our dedicated team takes great care in selecting each story, making sure they are both unique and heartwarming. One recent standout story is about the Veater siblings, whose musical journey has gone viral on social media. Their family and faith have played a crucial role in their musical development.
Suggested by one of our reviewers, the Veater siblings impressed us not only with their voices but also with their family's support and faith. Through their grandmother's early investment in their piano lessons and their grandfather's encouragement the Veater siblings have touched the hearts of millions with their incredible voice. Our editor, Daksha shared: "Their family dynamics and faith are evident in their story. Their homeschooling experience allowed them to focus on music and strengthen their bond." She added, "Their homeschooling journey has provided them with the freedom they needed to develop their musical talents and to bond over their shared love for music." |
The Veater siblings are now working on original songs and aiming to secure music licenses for their YouTube channel. "We've opened a GoFundMe and raised a good amount," said Mr. Daylon Veater.
